This Millbrook entrance uses exposed timber to turn a functional covered entry into a defining feature. The posts, beams and roof framing need to work structurally while remaining clean enough to be left visible.
Timber details can be incorporated into entrances, porches, garages and rural buildings without converting the whole project to traditional timber framing. PDS coordinates the visible carpentry with the roof, supports and connections required by the design.
The exact timber species, finish, joinery and weather protection are selected for each project. This completed entrance shows the type of custom feature PDS can discuss for another home or outbuilding.
